Frequently Asked Questions

We've made this FAQ's list to include questions that we get about pets as well as questions that we get about our pet clinics.

Have a question you don't see? Give us a call and we'll be happy to help you out.

What are our hours?

Monday through Friday: 9AM to 4PM

Saturday:  9AM to Noon

Sunday:  Boarder Pick-Up from 5PM to 5:30PM

What should I bring to the appointment?

We ask that you have your pet securely on a leash or carrier upon entering the clinic. If this is your first visit, please bring any past vaccination and medical history that you have.  Also, bringing in a small fresh stool sample is helpful for any patient receiving yearly vaccinations or who is experiencing vomiting and/or diarrhea.  Use a small plastic baggie to collect the sample.

Do we offer boarding?

YES!  Boarding facilities are available in a climate-controlled environment for the comfort of your pet.  Doggies and kitties are separated for kitty comfort!  Dogs are exercised at a minimum of twice daily in our fenced-in outdoor play yard.  Pets will be provided with the creature comforts of home like blankies and toys, so no need to bring your own!

Why should I spay/neuter my pet?

Neutering your pet is one of the best things you can do for him or her.  Intact dogs and cats may suffer from unnecessary medical complications as they age not to mention unwanted pregnancies.  Ask for more information at your visit!

Do you treat any other animals, besides cats and dogs?

Although medical care is limited to cats and dogs at UVH, we do offer boarding services for rabbits and other small pocket pets. Give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
